Friday, January 24

Let us remember that we are in the holy presence of God.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Heavenly Creator, surround us with your goodness and mercy, with your light and life. Be with us in all we have to face in life, so that over and over again we may find courage to start anew. Amen.

Service Learning Spring Break Trip

DeLaSalle is sponsoring a service learning trip to the Brother David Darst Center during spring break from Sunday, March 23-Friday, March 28.  The Darst Center is a Lasallian immersion retreat space in Chicago.  Students who participate will live service learning via service projects, studying background on five key social justice issues, reflection, discussion and community living. Eighteen hours of service will be allotted for those who complete the experience.  If you enjoyed service learning as a sophomore in Church class and you need additional service hours, this is the trip for you.  Full cost is $635 with financial aid available to those families eligible for DLS tuition assistance.  Register via the link by March 14.  The trip is limited to 10 students.  DLS will provide transportation via vans.  For more information, see Brother Mike in D217 or email him at Michael.Kadow@delasalle.com

Coffee Fundraiser for Global Pathways Participants

Students involved with the Global Pathways Program are selling coffee to fundraise for their travel experiences. DeLaSalle is partnering with Friends of San Lucas who work with the Mission at San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala to offer coffee growers a fair price on their coffee beans, along with several other programs that help the community.  You can purchase this excellent coffee in several formats (whole beans, ground, K-cups) and in several varieties (espresso, medium etc.). Currently, you can purchase to benefit the larger group and program, but soon you will be able to purchase coffee to benefit particular students.  They will earn $5 for every bag of coffee purchased. Go to this website to purchase the coffee options and support our students traveling. Coffee can be delivered to school or shipped to one’s house.
