Homecoming On The Island, Hollywood Style!

DeLaSalle's 2026 Homecoming Dance will be held October 10 from 7–10 pm.

• Doors close at 8 pm, no exceptions.
• Tickets are on sale now for $10 until Friday, October 9 at midnight.
• Tickets will be $20 (cash only) at the door on Saturday, October 10.
• Only one non-DeLaSalle guest per student is allowed.
• All guests are required to submit a Dance Guest Form.
• Guests must have a student or photo ID to enter the dance.

Congrats to Ava Vincent for winning the Homecoming T-Shirt Design Contest! 

As a reminder, the Homecoming T-shirt will be worn at school on 10/2 and during the Homecoming football game against Park Center.

PLEASE PLACE YOUR ORDER BY THURSDAY, 9/24 AT MIDNIGHT. HOCO TEES WILL BE SHIPPED OUT / DELIVERED TO THE SCHOOL BY FRIDAY, 10/2.

All School Testing Day - October 14th

Grades 9–11 will have a half-day of school on Wednesday, October 14.

Testing Schedule:

• Grade 9: PSAT 8/9
• Grade 10: PreACT
• Grade 11: PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test

Students will be dismissed after completing testing at approximately 11:15 a.m.

Be sure to bring your IPAD or MACBOOK - FULLY CHARGED! Optional items to bring include a calculator, pencils, and a snack. You do NOT need a backpack on this day.

Students will need to know their room assignment when they arrive on Wednesday. Room assignments by advisory can be found here. 

Please see the email from Wednesday, October 7th for many more details including how to access practice tests, what to bring, and other important reminders.

Transportation & Meals:

• Morning bus routes will run as usual.
• Afternoon buses will run all routes and depart at 11:30 a.m.
• Breakfast will be served.
• No school lunch will be provided.

Students with a pre-approved extended-time testing accommodation should arrange their own transportation home or notify school staff by Wednesday, September 30 if they need a ride so transportation can be coordinated.

Grade 12:

October 14 is a school release day for seniors. Seniors may choose to participate in several optional activities, including:

• College Essay & Application Workshop
• Service Opportunity
• Independent College Visits

Seniors planning college visits may use the day to visit colleges independently.

Dance Guest Form

DeLaSalle students are allowed to bring one guest to school dances. All non-DeLaSalle students are required to complete the DeLaSalle Guest Dance Form. Guests must bring a photo ID.

"Students Demand Action" Meeting - Oct. 12

The first meeting of Students Demand Action will take place on Monday, October 12 at 3:00 in Mr. Bennett's room. Students Demand Action is the largest grassroots network of young people organizing to end gun violence in America. Started in 2016, it is a national movement of 1,000 groups and counting.

Interested In Becoming Catholic?

Join Ms. Wisnieski for a brief informational meeting about the process of becoming Catholic. Whether you think you’re absolutely sure you want to convert, still have questions, or just enjoy learning about Scripture, Sacraments, and the Church, join us for cookies and a chat about what it can look like moving forward to continue learning about the Catholic Faith and the Sacraments of Initiation. Please fill out this form ahead of time. We will meet October 13th at 10:15am (the second half of advisory) in Mr. Letcher’s classroom, the Rosebury room in Christian Brothers Hall.

2026-2027 Yearbook Information and Deadlines

Purchase Your Yearbook

Students and families can order their yearbook online. Customized yearbooks must be ordered by January 29, 2027. After that date, yearbooks will continue to be available for purchase while supplies last.

Senior Ads – Due January 1, 2027

Global Pathways Scholarship (GPS) - Now Accepting Applications

Are you a sophomore or a transfer junior? Do you care about global issues? Would you like to gain a certification on your high school transcript? 

GPS is a 3-year program to increase your Global Competencies through specific coursework, multicultural experiences, and a capstone research project. You must be a current sophomore or transfer junior with a 3.0 GPA to apply. You also must be willing and able to spend time on GPS outside of the school day on tasks such as: gathering letters of recommendation, polishing your resume, writing and researching, and attending multicultural experiences.

Are You Interested in 1:1 Exchange?

Students who are interested in participating in Global Pathways 1:1 Exchange during the 2026-27 school year can fill out this form to get on the list of candidates. We will be exchanging with several LaSallian schools in six different countries including Argentina, Spain, France, Brazil, and Italy. Community Aid Options

Many members of our community have asked how they can best support DeLaSalle families who may be experiencing unexpected challenges. One meaningful way to help is through our Random Acts of Kindness Fund, which is dedicated to providing immediate, practical assistance to students and families in need. Gifts to this fund help cover essential supports such as transportation, groceries, and other everyday necessities so that our young people can remain focused on learning and thriving.
