Why DeLaSalle

Greetings from Nicollet Island!

We are honored by your interest in exploring what DeLaSalle has to offer. As an Islander, you will be intellectually challenged, spiritually enriched, and dedicated to serving others. While deeply rooted in tradition, we always keep our focus on the future.

Drawing students from over 125 different grade schools across the Twin Cities, DeLaSalle boasts a vibrant and diverse student body. No private school in Minnesota matches our authentic diversity, where students of every race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic background come together to embrace our shared Lasallian mission and culture of academic excellence.

We are excited to share our story, and learn so much more about yours.

Saint John Baptist de La Salle...Pray for us!

Live Jesus in our hearts...Forever.

Best wishes,

Where We’re From

Before & After DeLaSalle

Centrally located on historic Nicollet Island, DeLaSalle is the closest high school to downtown Minneapolis, the University of Minnesota, Old St. Anthony, and other Twin Cities landmarks.

More than 14,000 students have graduated from DeLaSalle over our 124-year history. Students come from neighborhoods all over Minneapolis and St. Paul and from communities as far away as 30 miles in each direction.

Consistently, between 97 percent and 100 percent of DeLaSalle’s graduates have matriculated to college – within the past decade to colleges and universities in over 30 states and seven countries.
