The Computer Applications course advances students' understanding and proficient use of the Internet and Microsoft's Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs. Knowledge of the many tools available to capture, organize, publish, and present information is essential to a student's success in high school and particularly necessary for college coursework.

Digital Photography offers students an opportunity to explore the composition elements of good photographs and career options of professional photography, and then enjoy artistic manipulation of photos using Adobe® Photoshop.
DeLaSalle owns a classroom set of 4-megapixel digital cameras for student use on photograph assignments. Students may also choose to use a personal camera.

The Web Design class explores the world of Internet web sites. Students will learn to recognize excellence in site design, layout, and content elements. Using an HTML editor and Adobe Dreamweaver® software, students will build commerical, social, and informational web pages. A final project will invite students to create a web site within specific parameters, and if met, the student's site may "go live" through the DeLaSalle school web site.

Computer Graphics combines the artistic creation of graphic images with the discipline of good writing skills and layout design. In Adobe Illustrator®, students will fashion original work as well as study and replicate the work of famous painters and artists. With Adobe InDesign®, students will incorporate their graphic images into the making of brochures, newspaper pages, posters, and catalogues.

In Business and Personal Finance, students will study career options, the job application and interview process, corporate cultures, business etiquette, and how to sustain an enjoyable job. The class will study bank accounts, loans, credit, and investments. The units on home buying, car purchases, and budgeting will feature real-life situations. The course also includes an introduction to filing taxes, planning for vacations and retirement, and social club memberships.
