| The DeLaSalle High School web site was remodeled during the summer of 2006. | ||||||
| Principle thoughts that guided the redesign include... | ||||||
| The web site is intended to be a vehicle of communication | ||||||
| •between current students, parents and guardians, staff and faculty | ||||||
| •for those seeking to learn more about DeLaSalle High School, Minneapolis, MN | ||||||
| The redesign style should | ||||||
| •make information easy to find | ||||||
| •require no more than three “clicks” to find information the visitor is seeking | ||||||
| •be flexible to allow for easy addition and deletion of items | ||||||
| •upload and display quickly in early-version browsers using dial-up telephone lines | ||||||
| Therefore, the new site’s front page design is simple with a comprehensive Table of Contents section. The Table of Contents will change to meet the needs and desires of site visitors. | ||||||

| All site pages have been validated with the W3C Markup Validation Service for conformance to the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) that develops strategies, guidelines, and resources to help make the Web accessible to people living with disabilities. | ||||
| The web site design colors are the "school colors" --currently black and gold. The occasional use of purple is a salute to older alumni who remember the days when the DeLaSalle school colors were purple and gold. | ||||
