DeLaSalle High School operates a balanced budget on income of $4,500,000 per fiscal (school) year. Tuition fees cover approximately 2/3 of needed income. The remainder is provided through the benevolence of many, many generous donors and friends who believe in the value of a Christian, Lasallian education in an urban setting.

In addition to --and separate from-- the general operating fund, DeLaSalle manages financial aid accounts to help 55% of the student body meet tuition obligations. Contributions given to scholaship funds are awarded to students who would not otherwise be able to attend DeLaSalle without financial assistance.

DeLaSalle distributes over $900,000 in aid annually, one of the largest dollar amounts among private schools in Minnesota. This is laudible, however, the demonstrated need exceeds $1,500,000.

Continuing over 100 years of educating young people to be responsible world citizens requires the support of benefactors and the success of fundraising events such as the Christian Brothers Gala / Oktoberfest and the DEvine Evening.

St. John Baptist de La Salle, "to give educational opportunities to the young, especially the poor."
