| By state law, Minneapolis resident students are eligible for free school bus transportation to and from DeLaSalle through the local public school transportation program. Monarch Bus Service, Inc., will run bus routes (for De students only) throughout Minneapolis at no charge.Typically, families receive route notification from Monarch some time in mid-August. Because of growing enrollment outside the city limits, DeLaSalle provides a few school bus routes to St. Paul and/or suburban areas as well. This service is organized and funded exclusively by DeLaSalle. Attempts are made to provide timely and efficient service to as many families as possible. Occasionally this has entailed establishing a “central stop,” but usually stops are established near each student’s residence. Routes are re-drawn each summer based upon requests for the subsequent school year; routes change annually as family requests change. During the past five years, DeLaSalle has provided school bus transportation for students from the following metro areas: Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, Columbia Heights, Crystal, Edina, Falcon Heights, Golden Valley, Hopkins, Little Canada, Maplewood, New Brighton, New Hope, Plymouth, Richfield, Robbinsdale, Roseville, St. Anthony, St. Louis Park, St. Paul – all neighborhoods |
