ACADEMIC YEAR
The academic year is two, 18-week semesters. Parent-Student-Conferences are held at mid-term of each semester. Each semester's final grades are used in calculating the student's grade point average (GPA).

The school day, 8:30AM - 3:00PM, is structured with eight 44-minute class periods (seven course periods and one lunch period). DeLaSalle Café offers students delicious breakfast options 7:50 - 8:20AM, and a complete hot lunch program during periods 4, 5, and 6.

The regular school day is periodically enhanced by community liturgies and prayer services, guest speaker presentations, pep assemblies, and special events such as Homecoming Week, Diversity Week, Social Justice Awareness Week, Winterfest Week, and Career Week.

DeLaSalle offers parents and guardians a chance to walk through an abbreviated version of the students' school day at "Back to School Night." All parents and guardians are urged to attend this evening. After a welcome from administrators, Academic Mentors are introduced. The "day" begins with announcements and then follows the course of a regular school day. This year, Back to School Night is Wednesday, September 10, 2008.

Policies that govern DeLaSalle academics can be found in the Student & Parent Handbook.
