DELASALLE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Excerpt from the DLS Alumni Association By-Laws:
The DeLaSalle Alumni Association is organized to support, maintain, and assist DeLaSalle High School of Minneapolis, MN, in the furtherance of its mission as a Lasallian educational institution. Specifically it shall be the purpose of this Association to foster a spirit of support, loyalty, and fellowship among the graduates, parents, friends and students of DeLaSalle High School. The Alumni Association assures that the spiritual, physical, intellectual, and material resources of this corporation shall be made available to DeLaSalle High School as it implements its mission to provide a high quality, values based education that affirms its heritage as a Catholic High School in the Lasallian tradition.

Today, the Alumni Association boasts over 14,000 living members, 70% of whom still live right here in Minnesota.

A message from the President of the A.A.'s Board of Directors:

Each new school year offers opportunities to get involved at your old school!

We are looking for many volunteers as the events we put on each year require many helpers. Working on an event is the easiest way to "get your feet wet" and reconnect with friends and classmates. It is a painless way to make a short-term commitment. Please contact the Development office at DE or give me a call and we can discuss specific available opportunities.

I invite you to be active by serving on the Alumni Association Board. This requires a two-year commitment. We meet regularly throughout the school year and are looking for new blood and new ideas.

Another way to get involved is through event attendance. Have you been to DLS's fall gala event, Oktoberfest? Each year it gets better. Or, attend one of the Alumni Affinity gatherings that brings together former DLS band members, or theater people, or sports team players.

Come on; get involved - in any way that you chose. The more you get involved the more obvious it will become to you that your alma mater continues to do great things and is, in fact, helping to change the lives of its current students.

Looking forward to seeing you at an upcoming event at De, or even better --help us plan and put on these fun events!
