KEY ADMISSION DATES FOR THE CLASS OF 2013
September - October Visits to Grade Schools allows our Admission Office to inform students about DeLaSalle High School.
November - December - January - February Visit DeLaSalle for an entire day.
Come see classes in action and get a sense of the hallway atmosphere.  And lunch is on us!  Visitors are paired with a host student-- perhaps a friend, perhaps someone DLS finds to match the visitor's interests.  A parent must please call at least three days in advance of the requested visit day.

First Open House for Prospective Families allows parents and students the opportunity to receive a first-hand look at Minneapolis' only Catholic high school.  Each academic department will offer a presentation, current students will greet visitors, and families may learn about extra-curriculars, financial aid and scholarships, college guidance planning, and more!

Entrance Exam for Prospective Ninth Grade Students. 
Eighth grade students complete a brief registration card in the lobby anytime between 8:00-8:30AM (it takes two minutes to register).  There is no fee for the exam and we will provide all test materials including pencils.

While students are taking the Entrance Exam, parents are invited to stay for a Parent Information Seminar in DeLaSalle's Florance Center.  Items of discussion include DLS's mission, philosophies, and programs, all the details of the school's application and enrollment procedures, as well as the financial assistance program for deserving students.  Financial aid applications for the 2009-2010 school year will be distributed and explained. 
Friday, February 13 Application Deadline for 2009-2010 Ninth Grade Early Admission. 
By this date, students must submit an application, a copy of the middle school transcripts, at least one letter of recommendation from a current teacher, and take the Entrance Exam.  To apply for academic scholarship consideration, applicants must submit three (3) letters of recommendation by this date, in addition to other criteria.
February 13-20

Admission Review Committee considers all applications received to date.

Friday, February 20 Offers of admissionare mailed to prospective ninth grade students, with course registration materials.
Monday, February 23 Applications for financial aid, based on family need, are due in the DeLaSalle Business Office by this date.  DeLaSalle, along with other Archdiocesan high schools, contracts with an independent financial aid data service to provide family financial need analysis.  That application, distributed on January 17, must be completed and returned directly to DeLaSalle, with appropriate documentation and application fee.  One application per family, please.

April 10 - 20 Families who qualify are mailed financial aid and scholarship contracts for the 2009-2010 school year.

During a program of Orientation for Registered Families and Enrollment Confirmation, families are provided additional and specific information about tuition and contracts, resources for financial/tuition support, bus routes and transportation, Honors and Advanced Placement programs, student extra-curricular activities, and parent involvement opportunities. Parents will be asked to sign and/or return financial aid acceptance contracts.

Honors placement/mastery exams are offered for students aspiring to ninth grade placement in Honors English, and/or Honors Mathematics, and/or Accelerated Science. There is no fee for any exam, which last up to 55 minutes each.
April - August DLS offers three orientation events for incoming ninth graders, as well as summer camps for students interested in specific activities or athletics.
